I really believe that there is magic in the ordinary everyday moments. We just need to slow down long enough to see them and maybe sometimes create them! Here is a photo I shot with my youngest son Jack. It was a beautiful spring day and I decided to take the boys for a walk at a local park….parks are typically not my favorite place to do photo sessions. Not that there is anything wrong with them, but they just seem mundane. Ordinary. Everyday. Typical. You know what I mean, you see a tree and maybe some green grass and some swings and maybe a trail or two but not necessarily anything strikingly unique. However, I decided to take my camera and go out with my new “no excuses” mantra and FIND the MAGIC! While on a walk, a small space popped out and I knew I had something worth working with so I asked my son to let me take his picture. Here it is below. After a little post-processing play and the addition of a little-winged friend, I got what I felt was a little taste of everyday magic.
