So I am part of a group on Facebook that has really been raising the bar for me creatively. I love it and have been so inspired! One of the challenges many of us have been participating in lately is a “no excuses” challenge which basically pushes us to get out and shoot and leave all the excuses at home. You know, the excuses such as “my town isn’t pretty enough” or “I don’t have a field full of flowers like that photographer does” or “everything is dead still”. I could go on…Anyway, this shot was one I took of my stepdaughter, Ava, the other day. It is a spontaneous picture that I took in our driveway while she was peacefully sitting making little flower bouquets. It is definitely a more aggressive edit than I would normally do but it pushed me out of my comfort zone and definitely made me see what is possible!
