The story you have been telling yourself isn't true. And I can prove it.
You have probably said it before, maybe even recently:
“I’m just not photogenic.” “I never take good photos.” “The camera doesn’t like me.”
And maybe you have carried that story for years. Maybe it started with a school photo that made you cringe, or a candid someone tagged you in that you immediately asked them to take down. Maybe it goes back further than you even want to think about.
But here’s what I want you to sit with for a moment:
What if the photos weren’t the problem? What if it was the experience and NOT YOU?
A bad photo session doesn't make you bad at photos.
It means you were put in a position where you didn’t feel safe, seen, or guided and your body responded the way bodies do. It braced. It performed. It tried to figure out what “right” looked like and failed to find it because force never looks natural.
That’s not a flaw. That’s human. The solution? – The right experience!
When you have a professional photographer who is paying attention to when you hold tension, to the moment your face softens and someone who creates a space that feels safe enough for you to drop your guard, stop performing and be yourself…that’s when the photos tell a completely different story.
That’s when the photos no longer look like someone trying to get through a session but instead, someone who is in the moment and their authentic self.
You aren't bad at photos. You've been waiting for a different experience.
